Huangshan, literally “Yellow Mountain”, is a mountain range in eastern China and a well known almost iconic place in that region. The whole mountain range consists of strangely-shaped granite peaks, amazing landscapes, striking heights, and beautiful sunsets. This place is pure magic for hikers and climbers and something everyone should experience. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of China’s major tourist destinations.
The most famous landmark of this great mountain range is the Bridge of the Immortals. But, to get there and see it in person you have to have curious and adventures spirit as well as a lot of courage. After all, we are talking about the world`s highest bridge.
Crossing the bridge will lead you into a mystique cave carved deep into the rock. The greatest award for those how are brave enough is the spectacular view of the mountainside that lies beneath. However, the trail leading to the bridge is even more extreme and it`s not for those who are afraid of heights. If you want to see what I mean, check out the picture below.
My next destination after completing my Juizhaigou and the grasslands of Inner Mongolia…And yes..Huangshan IS the mountain to see in China….:)
